Pictured Here: The Timberland LEED for Retail project resulted in the first mall-based LEED certified retail/commercial interior in the US. Working as a member of a collaborative design team, Cowan + Associates developed and implemented the prototype that resulted in LEED Gold certification for the Peabody, MA location and LEED Silver certification for the Salem, NH location. The LEED for Retail prototype is on the cutting edge of retail and furthers Timberland’s authentic assimilation to nature and the environment serving as the model for future expansion across the country.
